NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Recognized by the Nashville Business Journal at its annual awards dinner, Tennessee Senator Mark Green, MD has been honored as a Health Care Hero for both his business leadership with Align MD, a health care staffing company, and his consistent work in the General Assembly to address health care innovation in insurance, delivery of care and access.
“Receiving this honor in a state renowned for its leadership in health care is very humbling,” noted Green, a practicing physician and founder and CEO of Align MD. “Putting patients first while constructing services and legislation to meet their needs in the most efficient and effective manner possible lies at the heart of the work I love.”
The Nashville Business Journal selected 21 winners for 2016 designated as our the “most outstanding health care leaders” in “the American health care capital” – the city of Nashville. This year’s award ceremony at the Loew’s Vanderbilt Hotel recognized winners for Healthcare Entrepreneur, Healthcare Start Ups, Professional Services, Healthcare Advocate, Patient Experience, Health Care Quality, and Healthcare Safety. Dr. Green was honored as a Healthcare Entrepreneur for his work founding and growing Align MD to be one of the largest providers of Emergency Medicine staffing and management in the country.
